my ak550 in australia few mods
« on: August 26, 2018, 11:56:48 PM »
here's some photos of my kymco AK550 and a few mods I have done to it first off all I put a lambs wool seat cover on it then I wasn't happy with the standard bum rest so I got a headrest from a holden rodeo and cut and welded the attachment arms to suit I also put a pair of front light protectors on and a larger givi screen on so happy with this bike handling and power are top notch

Welcome Steven!
I think you are our first 550 owner. Interesting front lights!
Info on how you use this scooter, and how it is serviced would be of interest. Many of us service our Kymcos as part of the fun of ownership.
Would also be interested in photos of your scooter taken from the sun side...and lit at night.
Again, welcome.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Congrats and looking good.
That back rest looks like a Isuzu head rest?  Edit: I should have read your post BEFORE looking at the pics. Good deal......

im currently not doing any servicing on it my self as its still under waranty but im adding an after market exhaust my self in the next few weeks will post some photos when i fit it at the momant i use it to go riding with a few freinds which is a mixture of harleys and sports bikes it has no trouble keeping up with them in fact corners better than the harleys and stops quicker than most of their bikes due to the brembo brakes

Man, that's a sweet looking bike.

Right up there with the Yamaha TMax.

Batman, your scooter is ready!!
Two things to consider...
1) The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese.
2) Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.
