Superslab Saturday
« on: August 08, 2010, 04:13:50 PM »
Well, I did some more testin'. I'm getting more comfortable with the idea that my engine may hold together until next spring, anyway. So next up: A trip to my hometown, ~350 miles away.

Sounds good hopefully both ways  ;D .  What weights did you go with and was there ever a reasonable explanation for the heat.
Kymco peoples too many ;) I'm not an expert just a full time hobbiest.

What speed do you get up to with the 20 g sliders?

I have the 21g sliders and can exceed 80 indicated.

So far, just 79mph indicated, but the first night, it was only 72-73, so the new belt may need to wear in some more. Only on my second tank since I got it back.

Nothing especially exciting to report, except that I'm now on tank #3 post-repairs, and am now averaging 61.1mpg (as opposed to 55.0 pre-repairs).

Top speed is holding at 79mph... good enough, I reckon.

Hey, Jprestonian-how many miles do you have on you P-250 ? you comment that yours "may hold together for a while longer". I am curious what problems you have had and at what milage.

Just passed 18 megameters in the last day or so.

Blown head gasket @ 8400km
Broken cam chain six days after getting it back from the head gasket repair
Sporadic overheating at 11,000km, now resolved

No, he didn't. Only I know the story on this one, between the three of us, and I can tell you that with the exception of the first blown head gasket, none of it has been Kymco's fault.
