Is it possible someone had an alarm system on it at one time. Does it look to be factery wiring? Some people add a toggle switch at glove box or under seat to make it harder to steal.

Actually, I won this in a Relay for Life raffle in 2008, and it was new from a dealer. So I am owner #1.

On ZX50, the B/W goes to the cdi.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

I don't know if this is important, but after the connector, the wire is Blue/Yellow.

..dunno the orientation, but the drawing i have shows all the wires to th same connector...
there:

black becomes blk/blu to a 7amp fuse and to the cdi..
blue/yellow to the pulsar and cdi
green to several lamps
red to the battery and voltage regulator
green to the ignition coil ground...
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

And it does a VERY good job doing it!

I see no side effects so far from not having it connected, but I know it has to do something.
