I've become Mr Safety today
« on: September 12, 2018, 11:34:33 AM »
Riding into my village this morning I passed 2 young women joggers. They caught up with me at a stop sign. I raised my visor and let them know that they were pretty much invisible in their dark clothes and wearing nothing reflective. They just stared at me.
1/2 hr later I'd mentioned the same to 3 bike riders pedaling past where I  sit on the sidewalk with my coffee.
Watched 2 new cars go by with lights out. What happened to "auto-on" headlights which seemed to be standard a few years ago? My 20?? Silverado F-150 has 'em.

Capt. Slow on patrol this morning....

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

That's frustrating.

I believe that what you endured is exposure to people who believe they're the only ones on the planet.
Two things to consider...
1) The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese.
2) Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.

Silverado F-150 is a contradiction of terms!

No, pretty sure I'm driving a Chevy! (it's the F-150i with the 3V i-Get engine!)

Ahhh.. the old Ford vs. Chevy debate reminds me of two mules fighting over a turnip.
