« on: August 09, 2010, 12:04:14 PM »
???  HI everyone! I once read there was a better cooling fan for my 50 .I  don't  remember where .Perhaps someone knows .If I get better cooling then at long lights when its  hot I don't have to shut down .By the way my 50  goes 45 mph flat out on flat roads Hills slows to 30 mph .All because of all you good people .Thanks Y.D.

Hey yank I'm not a big 4t guy but you should be able to sit at idle for a few lights. Did you up jet with your derestrction? You may be running a little lean. You may want to take a look at your plug to be safe. Maybe clean the air filter.
I know on the people 50's I've owned not a one of them had the same main from the factory!
Kymco peoples too many ;) I'm not an expert just a full time hobbiest.

..i've ran my oem fan since day one...in 100+ degree heat, and sat thru many red lights...

..as art said, if your scoot is lean, then it's generating more heat than it should...

..why must you shut down at the lights??

..what symptoms promt you to do that?
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

Thanks for asking questions I wanted to ask.
Btw. I had 750 cc air cooled engine WITHOUT FAN in my Kawasaki and never had problems with "long traffic light".

Suzuki had 1300 cc air cooled engine that worked just fine. :) :) :)

G'day yankee doodle, I do recall zombie talking about a high flow fan, I am not sure but I think it was from scooter assassins. If I remember correctly, there was discussion about the effectiveness of them. Sorry, but I don't remember which thread it was.
