CONFIRM/DENY: Front brake pads same as Kawa Ninja 250?

I thought I saw someone here once say the front brake pads for a Kawasaki Ninja 250 fit the People 250... can anyone confirm?  Would tend to make sense... I think both manufacturers have Bosch make their calipers.

My pads are on backorder from KymcoUSA until mid-September. Talk about your slow boats from China...!

Completely different.

p.s. Bosch? It says Kymco on mine, so they are not third party OEM. Not even Tokico, Nissin or other usual suspects.
To tell the truth, I have never heard of Bosch calipers on scoots or bikes, just on cars (Jaguar, Mazda, Fiat...)

A little research on the Intertubes say that the EBC pad set FA197HH are direct replacements for Kymco stock # 45150-LLB5-3050 (front pads for P250/GV250), and may be more readily available at other dealers in your locale, as these pads fit a number of other Kawasaki and Yamaha (and other brands) bikes. About $36.00 in-stock at a local Honda/Yamaha dealer.

I'll get them tomorrow, and let you know if they fit. The photo looks right, in any case.

My calipers both also have Kymco branding, but I'm pretty sure they outsource the actual calipers to another company... perhaps not Bosch, but certainly one that other manufacturers use, as these pads seem to fit about 30 different vehicles from a half-dozen Asian manufacturers.

This reference says FA197 is the right EBC part number, but it also says this is for front and rear, and I know for a fact the rear pads for the P250 don't have the little "hook" on the end of the "A" pad (which is not to say they wouldn't fit/work). The front pads appear to need the hook, though. The originals have it on the "A" pad, anyway.

I WAS WRONG!!! The fronts and backs are different on my bike,  Kymco 45105 LLJ3-305 on rear (EBC FA142 or FA142HH) and 45150-LLJ3-3050 front (EBC FA197 or FA197HH)

I can CONFIRM with 100% confidence that the front and rear pads are the same on a P250.  I know...I changed both sets last time I did brakes.  I bought them at CycleGear for less than $30 USD a pair.  The wheel side pad has the ear on it, front and back.

I recently replaced the front with factory pads (for about the same cost). I am not sure but I wondered if the OEM would last better than the EBC's I used.  The OEM pad material was a different color than the EBC pads. The OEMs had a little more of a copper hue while the EBC's were darker and gray...IIRC.  I know I have one of the dead EBC pads laying on my garage floor.

Oddly, on mine, they're not.

On the front, one side has the ear. On the rear, both pads look like the "B" pad, illustrated here.

I just looked at my service guide and it easy to see the front had the single eared pad but my service guide illustrates two eared pads on the rear.  I wonder if they didn't change it between the time the illustrations were made and production.

I will see if I can't get a good photo of my rear brake set.

I need to buy a set for the front and rear of my 2007 p250.

Do I buy 2 sets of of EBC FA197s or 1 set of the FA197 and another set of ?

My rear pad does not have the ears, will ears still work in the rear?

I'm confused !!

I don't know. I ran short of cash, and decided not to ride miles out of my way to pay $36 for the aforementioned pads, as the ones I ordered via my show/KymcoUSA should arrive this week.

I feel sooo stupid... i spend a ton of time getting photos of the rear brakes... all unsuccessful of getting the tab on the rear caliper (its behind the b-fnedr and the caliper body and bunches of other stuf..)

Well,  I have the FA197HH you were talking about and they look just like the ones in your EBC illustration. I took the existing rear pads out and neither have ears like the EBC pad A.  I need to look at this more.

i WAS very wrong.

THE REARS ARE VERY DIFFERENT THAN THE FRONTS.  They have the digits in the part numbers
