People S 200 MPG's

Filled up tonight, 1.4 gals and 80 miles. About 57 MPG! Shockingly low, but I did do a lot more high speed/rev riding this tankfull. Will do more of the same this fill up just to see how it goes then go back to the back roads and lower speeds to see how it goes.

I'm also getting about 65 mpg, mostly cruising at 50-60mph. It was advertised for more, but It's much better than my SUV at 15(max) mpg.

Got 60 MPG last tankfull, pretty low but at least half of the miles were going close to wide open. I may try the tank after this going 45 as a max speed to see what that shakes out.

60.4 MPG this fill up, not doing so great on MPG but still beats the car by a long shot, plus it's fun and easy to park in tha city.

I'm about 170-180 lbs and have a full wind screen on my scoot, when I first got her I got better MPG, I'm not sure maybe just too much sitting at traffic lights.

I'm a "lite weight" at 130 lbs.
Like I said I never see so much as a hill so that makes a huge difference.

Greetings everyone.
We just got a 2009 People s 200. Two fill-ups now; the first got 56MPG and the second got 61. 8 miles to and from work, a couple of miles on a highway. I'm sure it will improve as it is not fully broken in yet.

At weight 6'3" and 215 pounds, I'm not very aerodynamic. Love the scoot though!

Sold my 1986 Honda Elite 250, which always averaged 65 MPG, not matter how I drove it. Miss the power, but everything else is 10x better.

Hope to add a Cuppini Windshield soon!

Premium fuel helps by 10%. I prove it to everyone that listens.

If you are already on premium, let off the throttle some, and do more frequent oil changes.

I do that too on all my small engines. I haven't tried alcohol free yet, though.

Also time for an oil change and checking the spark plug, just over 500 miles. I'm sure mine will get better...

The problem I have w/ non ethanol fuel is, where I live it is only offered in regular grade, and not premium so using it reduces the MPG.
It's sort of a catch 22.

Hmmmmm. We may just have uncovered another government plot. Force all the vehicles on the road to use more fuel than needed.

Ethanol as a fuel is a fantastic way to go in my opinion but mixing it with gasoline is actually reducing the MPG of the gas, and ... well I'm not gonna start that again.

While I believe Eth is a better fuel because it is cleaner burning, has more power per liter, and is renewable it requires richer jetting so it actually is wasted in a gasoline mix, and takes up space in the jet or injector that should be filled w/ gas thereby reducing MPG.

I guess we can only do so much w/ what we have to work with. Bottom line is the 10% MPG gain using premium vs regular (both containing 10% Eth) is the same as running dirty non Eth regular MPG wise.
Catch 22.

Let me get this right, "E" makes reg gas get less MPG but yet it produces more power per Liter?

How is that they are both possible?

My understanding on if is that the cost and to produce "E" is not yet coast effective and it also drives up the price of meat and corn due to demand by farmers/ranchers etc.

PS on my last fill up I got 67 MPG city highway combined.
