...then, i'd bet there is something else keeping your speed restricted, other than the cdi...

..wow..it's like still 80 degrees here....

...it would be awesome, of you could measure your variator drive boss...

..both in diameter, and length...

..i have the de-restricted specs of a boss somewhere aroundhere...

..post a pic of your cdi cut!!!!

..keep in mind, we're all hitting un-travelled territories with this ppl 4t...

..but i'm pretty sure we can all get it figured out..

..think of how much you've learned already!!..the fun has just begun!!!

My 2009 people 2t was pipe jetting mostly but cdi had to be derestricted to get to that part first(the boss had been changed at the shop before i bought it). For a 2t it was slow!!! I owned 2 older ones that would leave it in the dust till i modded it. 35 mph was tops down hill. Was doing 55mph + with me 220lbs when i sold it.
I put one 3/8 hole in the air box an #85 main jet and swaped the pipe with a leftover 2002 people 50 I had laying around and that was it.(Plus the kymco cobra cdi)

That could be the key,the boss may not be as long as the older ones or replacments. Get a mesurement I got a couple laying around here somewhere I'll let one go for 20 percent of new plus shipping  ;)

...there are different drive boss lengths...just shorter by a few millimeters, but that makes a big difference...
