Kymco Super 8 150X backrest

Just bought my Super 8 150 X. Cant get the backrest to stay locked in, What am I doing wrong? I know pulling it hard releases it. I'm trying to put it up ever so gently.

I have the same issue, it does not bother me most times it stays up. how do you like the Bike otherwise?

I really like the bike. Wish the gas tank was bigger and then the seat thing, but other than that, I'm extremely happy 😊
