Weather app says it's 41°F when I  head out an hour before sunrise for a little scooter ride. 40's...that's not bad at all,   or crazy for a leisure ride out into deer and raccoon land.
But out of the city, down in the low farmlands I can feel the temp dropping several degrees. Probably into the mid 30's.
And I'm glad my LIKE200i has only the basic gauges......no temp reading, so I can still think 40's...and feel warmer.
I tried not to notice when the Burgman was telling me it was 31°F.

Yeah, well it's not more power & speed I'm looking for out there in the dark 33°F.....
Sometimes I wonder what a nice big screen would feel like.
But one would only lower the score for my Mustache Ice Art when I arrive at my coffee shop....So, there's that.

A big screen can be nice, but it makes you feel disconnected from the road, bizarrely, which I couldn't get on with.

Do you have handlebar muffs? Or heated grips? They can make all the difference.

I have a waistcoat that takes 4xAA batteries and heats using two elements. It drains the batteries in about 10 minutes but I used to wear it on my 110 mile rides to go home at the weekends on the C90 in winter, to give me a 10 minute boost of heat when I was really desperate.

I've done my share of cold weather riding and have found that electric gear that runs on batteries, even D cells is pretty much worthless, even disposable heat packs work better. All my electric gear plugs into my bike, however, I have abouth 850 watts available, even with sufficient power on tap, I dress for the event of electrical failure, extreme arctic carhartt bibs & jacket, snowmobile gloves and helmet w sindstopper balaclava

Once you get above 30 mph the windchill of your riding speed drops your perceived temperature by 15 degrees. Given the headwinds I've been driving into on my commutes home at night I'm glad I have my windshield. Respect for those who can ride without one. I think I've been spoiled.

I couldn’t ride above 30mph without a windshield no matter how warm it was. Lol.

Cold = anything less than 60degrees. That’s the Florida definition. Lol

I have a pair of cold weather insulated over-pants that I will mail to whoever wants them. They resemble fishing waders.

I don't ride when the weather doesn't suit my street clothes...apologies, Mr. Dylan.

Yeah, it was fine for 10 minutes then that was it, they were flat.

However, I had no spare capacity whatsover back in those days - that bike used to struggle to run the lights.
