Here in Italy is this a very common practice to put interleaved weights into your CVT. Works out pretty well and saves a lot of drilling out or putting 2-component putty reinforced with brass-shavings into (respectively) too heavy or too light weights. I personally prefer straight weights, but if I feel that there would be a little bit of revvs or end speed in it, then I don't hesitate drilling off or plombing in a half a gram. Or mix weights until I'm happy with my scoots performance.

Not nessasarily.... I also have different weight rollers on my 350DT..4 weigh 14 gr and 4 weigh 16g.You get the best of both worlds. Lower and higher RPM speeds.
BTW.. I gave a DT200 modified to a DT 350
Hope this helps!

Very interesting. How do you have them arranged, are they staggered out?
Also would like to hear about your DT200 modified to as 350 someday!

How many rollers does the bike need?
Small scoots use 6 rollers, large ones have 8 rollers.

I think if I decide to use them, I will install interleaved

What do you think about ????
It's a bad idea. The pressure against the belt will be inconsistent and cause premature wear to the aluminum parts and the brass bushing.
Been riding for a very long time.

But a lot of people mix the weights, and enjoy the results.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

No problem doing that.  That's how you get 14.5gm weights.
