On the Piaggio X10  to bad they did not incorporate the wind screen on my B V 350,  did you  go to Germany to take these pictures, it looks different from when I was there , did not see one scooter then 1953,  with very little traffic,

FEAR the little wheels on cobblestones, as you have in one pic. I have bad memories of wiping on a vespa near the Piazza Venezia in Rome,... Otherwise the pics look nice. Stig you should take a trip to Rome and rent a scooter. You can rent either a 50, 150 or 300cc bike. You seem to enjoy posting pics of scooters and European cities. You can hit all 4 major basilicas in Rome in about an hour on a scooter. St. Paul's outside the walls takes the longest to get to...There is nothing like being on a scooter and driving down the via conciliatione with the Vatican staring right at you. Nonetheless, keep riding!

Dean, google "motor scooter on the streets of New York" (Frisco, Chicago,  etc., etc.) .....see how few images you'll get.
For 5 years I've asked big city scooter owners on 4 scoot forums to share photos of their scoot in cool urban settings. I can count easily on two hands how many have been posted.
I go Euro because that's where the scooters & images of scooters are found.
I've been on foot in most of our biggest cities, and of those in Germany, Austria, England, Switzerland  and France.  Scooters are fun...but I much, much prefer to experience cities on foot.
I am glad you enjoyed Italy your way.

Karl, a lot of Italians use those for the cold weather....anything below 60 deg F is cold for an Italian. It also keeps the pigeon poop off your good pants :)

Karl here is the Canadian Site for Tucano Urbano(They don't sell in the USA). They are called Thermoscuds, the girl up top is wearing one of these. Stig might like one of them for his cold rides.

The French often do things just a bit differently.
But with style!

Deaux chavoux (2CV) once held the elevation record for naturally aspirated gasoline motor cars. Some 15000 feet above mean sea level in the Andes Mountains of Chile' , South America. Bet it was a long trip to the summit!
