Big Bore Cylinder Kit Kymko Super8 or People 150cc??

Any Big bore kits to upgrade the kymko 150cc scooters available???

Dang i hope peeps150 is correct and he actually did install a Bolt-on direct bolt on 61mm Cylinder kit which should be 170cc or 171cc, but i was told that my 2006 kymko people 150 is NOT same as GY^, so the NCY 61mm direct bolt on big-bore kit will Not work??-is this true, or can i get a blt on big bore kit for my 2006 kymko people 150 scooter???
another bummer is even if I can get my hands on the 61 mm bolton bigbore kits...rear end final drive Gears i am told are also diferent-wont fit???

Kymco Like 200i Big Bore Kit? Does this exist?

The mechanic at my shop just bought a chinese trike…and it just so happens we recently parted out a Kymco Like 200i. So he wants to make some unholy amalgamation by combining them.

Being "different" he demands to increase the size of the motor too…and asked me for a big bore kit. Any idea or leads on where I could find one (if it even exists?)

Can't find cylinder kits for Like 200i but maybe a performance exhaust? Then a fuel controller and maybe performance air filter and variator.

The Like 200i uses a 60mm bore which combined with it's stroke makes it 163cc. A 61mm bore from Taida or NCY would make it 170ccs.

The Like engine is a solid unit but Kymco makes their own version of a GY6 and they make it pretty much impossible to swap out the final drive gear ratios because their gears are way different than what's out there.

I'm thinking of selling my Super 8 because I can't swap out the final drive gears so it's pointless for me to do some hardcore mods to it.

Not to sound like an unhelpful dick, but the mechanic at your shop is a moron. Trikes are stupid and the 200i makes over 11hp, which is plenty.

I don't think that 163cc is very common, I can't even find a "name" for it, so a big bore kit is pretty much out of the question.

Honestly if he already has a chinese trike and wants to dick around with it, why not start with a 150cc gy6 base and upgrade that? Parts are way more available, pumping the gy6 up to 18hp if you want.

With that time and money, why not just find a majesty or something to ride? Or a 650r...

He got it on the cheap, and likes to do things people don't typically do. The trike currently has a GY6 motor on it, and he might go that route and play with it. His eyes keep wandering over to the 200i motor though, which is ready to be bolted onto something, and at no cost to him.

Then he should be aware that it makes 11hp and that is it. Find a cheap or busted chinese scooter and throw the 200i engine in it.

The Air cooled Agility, Like, People, Movie, Super 8 and People S from 125 to 200 all use the same cylinder, with different bores. The reason the 200 is not a 200 is that there's not enough metal to remove to make it so. It's a 150 with a big bore kit. It's a GY6 engine. There is a tapped hole in the side where the exhaust port is located that is usually missing from the "buy it by the pound" Chinese scooters.
If you find a big bore kit and the base gasket looks the same as the stock one, chances are that it will fit.

Stupid question:
Do the "200" models (which are not 200cc) come with the same size Variator and clutch Pulleys ompared to the air cooled Agility, Like, People, Movie, Super 8, and People S (with smaller cc engines) ?

The reason for my question - I saw a comment regarding fuel consumption after a 160cc big bore kit has been installed to a 125cc engine by another owner. According to the fuel consumption figures supplied by this owner, the scooter became quite heavy on fuel since the big bore kit has been installed.

This made me think the "200" models probably come with different size Variators and clutch Pulleys ? (In other words - it probably come with a different "gear ratio" ?)

Thanks. I guess the only way to get better fuel consumption when a big bore kit gets installed, would be to fit a bigger wheel at the rear then.

Just more questions about another possibility for better fuel consumtion:

1. Do the Liquid cooled modes come with different size Variators as well ?
2. If so, will the Variators and 130 mm Clutches fit to the  Air Cooled models' Axles as well ?
3. If so, I assume the only other mod needed for an upgrade like this would be to use a belt similar to the belts on Liquid cooled models ?
4. Or maybe belt length will be different ?

Where fuel economy gets tricky is having the right gearing to operate efficiently without making it so tall the engine struggles to maintain speed and you end up using more fuel.
Typically, heavier rollers, to a point, are better for fuel economy. So is higher tire pressure, but you will spend the money you save in fuel on tires, because they will wear down the middle quicker.

Sorry about repeating my 2nd question at my previous post :
Do you know whether the 130mm clutches will fit to the Air cooled model's rear shafts as well ?
(I.e. will the center hole on a 130mm clutch Bell have the correct ID, and correct number of splines to match a rear shaft on a 125cc Air Cooled scooter - and will the Needle bearing and inner sealed Bearing on a 130mm Clutch have the same ID to match the rear shaft on a 125cc Air Cooled scooter ?)

Thanks. It just struck me that a 130mm clutch pulley could probably not be used. If I remember correctly the gap between the standard pulley and the CVT cover is quite small. A bigger than standard pulley could easily touch the cover.
