Another Noob

Yesterday I picked up a blue 2008 Xciting 500 with 13,000 miles on it.  I had previously owned a Honda PCX 150 and a 1000 V-Strom before that.  I like this scooter.  It handles well, feels stable, and it feels like I'm riding a touring bike.  It's not as refined as the PCX 150, but that scooter was just too small for me.  The Xciting's spent a lot of time under the hot sun and the black plastic is faded and windshield is yellow, but overall it's in pretty good mechanical condition.  It's a little slower to start after it's warmed up, but cold starts are easy (we'll see come Winter how it starts then).  It takes off kind of slow but picks up speed pretty quickly.  I spilled gas all over during my first fill up, so I'll have to pump the gas a little slower next time.  It could use a new left handlebar switch (winker's sticky), the LCD odometer's going out, and the hand brake button sticks, but none of those repairs are urgent.

What's a good source for on-line parts?  I found one website with good parts schematics, but the website's not secure.

Thanks Willembop.  I saved the link for when I need to order something.  From my experience with motorcycle dealers, they never have what you need in stock, but they can order it for you.  I tell them I can order too.

Today I sprayed some electrical contact cleaner/lubricant into the winker switch hole, and that seems to have helped.  I'm slowly restoring those black and gray plastic surfaces to get them looking good again.  I did a few more maintenance checks, and this scooter's been maintained pretty well.  It was a pretty good deal.  There are very few used scooters available in the area, and I didn't want to pay mega-bucks for a new one.  I took off that seat pad today, cleaned all the dirt out from underneath it and put in a Walmart ATV seat pad over the seat.
