agility 50 cc starter relay

hello everyone.
is there a way to check the starter relay for proper operation,  on our off the bike?
searching the web I couldn't find a strait answer. thanks allot

Yes. Push start button, listen for click. No click, test for power to coil of relay. Power present with button pushed but still no click, disconnect one of two wires to coil then test with ohmmeter for proper coil resistance. Good click, test for continuity of heavy contacts(this means use a test light or voltmeter to see if power comes through). This is all on the bike with a good battery. You can bench test a starter relay with a 12 to 14 volt cordless drill battery or any half way decent spare battery.

You can just do a Voltage test on thin wire terminal, where the thin wire connects to the starter Solenoid / "relay". Just see if you get a Voltage reading at that terminal when you press the starter button.
(On my scooter I need to loosen the Solenoid / relay to get access to this specific terminal)

If you get a Voltage reading at the small terminal when you press the starter button, the solenoid / relay should be faulty.
If you don't get a Voltage reading at the small terminal when you press the starter button, the starter Switch (at the button), brake Switches (at the levers), or Ignition Switch could be faulty.

My scooter has two fuses inside the battery box. If one of those two fuses are blown - the scooter doesn't start. So maybe you should also check for a blown fuse inside the starter box - or a blown fuse elsewhere.
