Yeah, $10, they call it a racing cdi, but I think that is just sales talk for no rev limit, anyway, it's in and i go back to work today so will see how she goes on a slight down hill run, if she don't go past the fuel gauge I will have to start again. :)

After a couple days use, I can say the cdi was worth it. Though there is no performance improvement that I have noticed, it does start a lot easier, success. Today I went back up to a 130 main jet and took out 3 7gram rollers, cant really say if any better, had a head wind on the way to work. The k&n filter turned up today, will pick it up tomorrow.

That is awesome, sid! I'm enjoying reading about your success. And that knowledge may come in handy if they start manufacturing different looking cdi boxes down the road for newer model scoots. Hey, I wanted to mention that when I was looking at exhausts the other night I ran across a place that throws in a free cdi with a purchase. I can't remember right now which shop it was. But if you are ever ordering another part you may just get you one for free to balance out the cost of your shipping and all and have another spare on hand. I don't know if googling "free cdi" will pull up that store or not. Google shopping isn't what it used to be so I tend to search in some unusual ways when I'm looking for the best prices on things, but if I come across it again I will let you know the name of that shop.

Cheers Rianna, that is pretty cool, I would like a new exhaust, but, no biggies until next year now.

Yeah, just thought I'd mention it sid, so you could keep your eye out, cuz you might be able to get one with anything you might order, not just an exhaust, if this is the time of year some shops will be trying to get rid of older inventory to make room for newer items.  ;)

Yeah, thanks for looking out, but I think I had better keep my head in a little and just stay with the smaller items. I will pick up a filter tomorrow, that will cost 59.95...ouch. I was going to buy some heavier Dr. pulley sliders, but I saw a post on scooterinvasion about increasing the weight of the existing ones, so that will be a fun thing to play with, for a short time, unless it works. :)

I would love to get a scooter with a sidecar, the elder dog, Flash, would absolutely love it, she'll ride day and night in the back of the ute, with her head out the side.

Okay, sid, finally got the pic from my friend's daughter's cell phone in email today. I think she got more of the car in the background that of the scoot, but she did manage to get all of the dog. Here is the little doggie on back of the scoot. She's probably too young for scooter rides...too hyper, won't sit down...lol. She did try to turn sideways, though, when we stopped for the pic.  :D

G’day all, it is a little late, but I see I have not put in the correct colour codes for the CDI. So here is the belated update.
The manufacturer is Ruima and the model is New Racing CDI (TZR50)

Scoot                          CDI

Black/White                   Black
Black/Red                      Red
Blue/ Yellow                   Blue
Black/Yellow                  Yellow
Green                             Green
