6 summers ago here in Florida I happened upon this LIKE -- like mine back in Ohio.
The fellow who works in a Publix grocery rides it to work and gets to park it inside, in a parking garage.
Today I purposely took a look in the garage -- and got to see my old buddy. the blue and white LIKE200i LX!
He has accumulated some 10,000 miles -- and a few signs of life in this wickedly hot, humid and salty coastal climate.
The headlight lens has yellowed a bit, there is some rust on the mirrors, faded blue wrap on the fender, discolored pass. grab 'fish', split seat cover and a missing brake lever knob. The Kenda tires seem to be replaced.
I really wished I could have talked to the owner about his ownership experience. I missed him by minutes as he fired up and left work just after I walked out of the parking garage. I could hear that it fired instantly!
We could have done an oil change, a new belt, some rollers....have coffee ….and shrimp!
Cool to see this old friend LIKE.
