UXV500 Noise Level
«

Have a UXV500 thats a few years old. Bottom line is its loud. We use it around our lake home so I want to find a way to quiet it down a bit. Driving along at 15 mph you really cant talk to the person next to you easily. I know that atvsilencer has a universal kit that may work. Anyone ever do anything to quiet a machine down?
Thanks

It's not the exhaust that is loud if stock, it is that big thumper between the seats! I wear "mouse ears" every time I drive ours. They are noisy!

Wonder why the 450 is so much quieter? We have no problem carrying a conversation unless I am running at wot

Wonder if one could safely attach some rigid insulation under the seat? Would it make the engine run hot?

They make a sound deadening/insulation material called dynomat, the sterio buffs use it, self stick and heat reflective as well as major sound deadening. I just question why is it so loud?
