New exhaust

I ordered a muffler to put on my bike so far so good building a mount next week maybe have it done soon but it sounds good when I am done I will post a video to youtube

Just curious, Arkie; why the new exhaust?

And, can you say which exhaust and how you chose it?

I'm wondering if this is due to necessity or just trying out something new?

It is for an automotive application acutally. I choose it becuase of price and the fact that I have access to a machine shop if needed. It is ROL exhaust brand. I am wanting a more aggressive sounding bike. If I get a performance boost that is just an added bonus.

I've often seen reference to a larger exhaust giving a power boost; but never thought about it on this scooter.  I have also heard of "restrictors" on small scooters as a way to control their output.  But I would think that the Xciting 500 wouldn't be restricting anything.  I wonder if anyone knows if there is a restricting action on the exhaust as it comes from the factory and whether the restriction really leads to less power output?  Just a thought.

It is restrictive in several ways one it is heavy. It  quietens the scoot down with extra baffling. When I get it down I will do massive amounts of testing and let you guys know
