belt noise
« on: July 06, 2019, 02:47:12 PM »
SO i just changed my belt and rollers a couple of weeks past. How long does the different noise last before the belt and rollers get set properly? It also almost seems like it "shifts" in the lower range. Not worried about it was just curious.

It sounds like a shift with the RPM sound going down. I'm sure its just the belt sliding.

You're sure it's something that doesn't happen? I don't know where you're getting your information, but the belt doesn't slide in the variator. If you're hearing a strange noise, something is wrong. If you keep riding it, you will figure out what it is fairly soon, if it's something wrong in the variator or clutch.
Been riding for a very long time.

The belt does move within the the 2 pulleys of the system. That is how a CVT works.

Yeah, well, it is hard to tell what is being described...

All the noises are gone now so most likly just the belt and rollers getting broken in.
