Noise coming from the front tire already? - PROBLEM SOLVED

I wish I knew what was standard - sometimes I think there can be several 'standard' versions of any given part depending on the day the scoot was put together.

When I bought my scoot there were a bunch of brand new agilities to select from and none of them had that rear mudguard part that seems to be on every other agility I've seen since.  Must have been a special batch or something!

In any event, whoever that dealer who sold you the scoot is - I bet he's not on your Christmas card list this year!

I suppose you're right. That's a shame they robbed you of that mudguard, though.

If your scoot was indoors I'd ask you to look on your caliper for that funny looking logo/symbol between the pins on the bottom side. If it's not on yours I'd know mine was likely replaced.

I'll be happy to take a look tomorrow in the light - since I'll be working on it anyway.

I'll see if I can see anything there - I confess to not having a great deal of familiarity with the caliper so I'll hunt around for it.

That would be helpful - it would give me a better of idea of what I'm looking for.

The silver pins that you need the allen wrench for...look on the other side where they screw into.

Or look through the tire from the side opposite of the rotor, caliper, etc. That's where you'll see it...that's the side I'm calling the bottom.

But I'll work on trying to get a pic posted.

I bet you can't wait to try out them sliders tomorrow!

Okay, that gives me a good description of what I'm looking for.  Thanks for clarifying.

I'll be interested in seeing how the sliders run.  People seem to really like them.

If I get really bored, I might even mess with the headlight alignment and see if I can get that beam to shine further down the street.

Or I might just rake leaves...

The way it works around here is that you rake the leaves to the curb and the city sends trucks around that sucks them up.

Truck comes Monday so I have to get it done this weekend.

...and I have 7 large maple trees in addition to contend with.  And a big beech tree, and then some others.

So yep, looking forward to installing those sliders!

Wow, that's a LOT of leaves to rake. At least the city will pick them up and save you from bagging them. You better do your raking first then enjoy the sliders as your reward!!

Did you ever figure out what the markings on the back of the caliper were?

There is definitely something stamped on mine - but I can't quite make out what it is.

Same here, lol. No, I did post a pic of the same markings on the back of the brake pads over in the wheel bearings thread, though. I think it's different than yours and than the one TechGuy posted that is on his.

I haven't seen the brake pads yet - just the caliper.

I hope not to have to mess with those brake pads at all.

After I get my next project completed (the led accent lighting) I'll be going with what I got until spring.
