Nope. Everyone's afraid to help. lol. I don't wanna drop it so I thought it would be best to try it with someone else available to steady it if need be. There are two people kinda near by that would help with no problems, but neither was home today, so I reckon it's just not meant to be today.

Having a spotter isn't a bad idea for your first couple of attempts if it makes you feel more comfortable.

All it will take is a little practice - I know a couple of people who can't weigh over 90 pounds who learned how to do it with a little practice.

It's all about the technique!

Yes, once you get someone to help, you will get a feel for how it works.

You do indeed.

I don't even use my side stand anymore - heard of one too many people who dropped their scoot because it was on side stand.

Yeah, things will be a lot easier if I can do it, that's for sure.

Hey, I sat on one of them chinese scoots yesterday. Light as a feather, feet flat on the ground with room to spare. I was determined to have me a Kymco, though, so I better learn how to handle it. lol

..some chinese scoots have nylon gearing...

..the frames are of a thinner gauge metal...

..and the tupperware is at least 1/3 as thick as kymcos...

No wonder they are so light then. It felt like it's size would fit me better, but it kinda felt like sittin' on a toy in comparison to the agility.

Yeah, no comparison, for sure. I almost sat on one of them aprillia's, while waiting on the paperwork at the dealer's. the rs50 r one. looked sharp, but it looked like waay too much bike for me, though. lol
