Everyone who rides in winter is gonna get bloody freezing ... my adive get some gloves to go under some biker gloves extra warmth as if you dont have hand covers they wull get the coldest quickest and will be uncomfortable ...

Jackets put 1 or 2 hoodies under a proper jacket this wil keep you insulated...

socks wear some thermal socks or something as the breeze will go up your trousers (Jeans) ect

Hats put a hat on under the helmet i do this myself .... and when you put a scarf on if it is a full face helmet or what ever rap the scarf round your face chin and nose and tighten it if you do this you will have no complaints about the cold

Happy Riding :)

I understand that you have good intentions, but none of the above is necessary, especially not 20 min warm up in place.
I ride throughout the year, and keep the bikes outside (however, it rarely goes below freezing point here, maybe 30 days in a year).

p.s. Do you sing to it before it goes to sleep? :)  lol ya I sing that song life is the highway to it.

Thanks, glad to be here - I have been snooping around and wow, I am out of my league on this site.  I don't understand allot of the terminology that you use.  I will learn though.

Yeah, you can't avoid the salt around here either.

Which is why I'll be going with the LeoVince exhaust come spring.  That won't rust out like the OEM.

My OEM exhaust rusted out over the last couple of winters.

I figure the LeoVince isn't going to cost that much more than the OEM replacement.

And it will look much nicer too.

Next will be the rear shock which is also rusting out fast.

Yeah, seems like paying a little more for the exhaust that won't rust should save you money and the hassle of replacing the OEM exhaust every couple of years because of the salt damage.

I probably should blue

my scoot gets to slog it out through all weather conditions so it takes a beating.

I know what you mean Im hopeing not to spend to much on my scoot this year.
tough times for everyone. I realy need to save my muffler for one more seanson I might wrap it with something. but that well not stop the rust.

Depending on the amount of rust, you could sand down the rusty areas and spray paint it with some high temperature paint.

That would keep it going for a fair amount of time.
