Saw too amazing things today...
« on: August 15, 2019, 07:01:23 PM »
Took my daughter over to Ohio State University very early this morning to talk with her surgeon - and it was "move in day" for the dorms. Amazing sight.
Two hours after we arrived the traffic was backed up for a mile or more on the highway off-ramp..... and was nearly impossible on the campus. Many policeman and many vested-volunteers were doing a pretty good job of directing the incoming cars. They were snaking them to and fro on a giant parking lot with 100's of cones.
Departure lanes were clear for us.

And one stupid one:
Later, as she drove to our coffee village, two young idiots speeding on sport bikes came at her side by side with both of their hands straight up over their heads. Impressive stupidity.

Every post needs a scooter pic....

I snapped this pic with cell to commemorate my coldest ride ever. A February commute to work. Arrived at 5:51AM, and temp was 3°F. Was a little surprised the plastic panels held up! I have not surpassed this record for cold rides. Don't imagine I ever will.

I had a 'long' way and a 'short' way to commute to work. It was 3 °F.
So, I took the short way this morning!
Because of the temp, I decided to save the event.  Got off, left it running, turned around and snapped this pic with my cell phone - which saved the time and date.

I used to joke about being concerned for my corneas at these temps. I have to leave the visor cracked to prevent fogging, which lets in plenty of wind.
