Damn Blue, you are hardcore!

I would be afraid to ride at speed on tires I mounted myself!

The question is whether I'll have the negotiating power to talk these guys down from charging that much for mounting the tires.

Seems waaay to high.

I payed 35 for my tires and my time to put on so I think I did ok .the bad thing about putting on your self is the little paint you might take of the rim.

Its not to hard if you got the tire irons, used to have to do it on the trail. But the vyper strykes? I got the front on no problem the rear would not seet so cost me $5 to let a pro do it.(more air pressure than i could create at home (damn tubless tires  ;D )

I paid $75 for a rear tyre, fitted it myself, though next time I will get rim protectors.

THEY DO MAKE PLATIC COVERS FOR THE TIRE SPOONS SO YOU DON'T MESS THE RIMS UP

I don't know that I'll be putting the tires on myself - but they've been ordered.

We'll see how long they take to ship.

$65 for half hours work? Go on, give it a go, think what you could buy with that $65. ;)

I agree that the $65 is way too much.  I'll see what I can work - no huge rush.

Besides, I can have hours of fun finding various methods to carry the tires to the shop while I ride.
