OEM front tire 2019 XTown 300i ABS-Kenda

OEM front tire, Kenda on my XTown 300i at 8-9000 miles, wearing square, just like the the rear did 4,000 miles earlier-----this wear does not matter going straight down freeway but in TN where I live/am stuck for now, many rural roads are high crowned, narrow and have no shoulder!


I find square tires a little distracting in the transition from straight to lean-----could put you in the weeds!  I am no new rider, over 1.5 million 2 wheel miles, on 11th maxiscooter.


Solution: for me replace tire with one that wears round----Michelin Power Pure SC comes to mind based on prior experience.   OEM Kenda would normally run at least 15,000 miles, but I cannot stand the distraction from straight roll to lean.

Come over to Blighty then John, with our twisty roads I've never suffered a squared off tyre!

With over 40 years of living/riding/working outside of US I am aware of curvy roads.  Current problem may be more of tire design/market demands.

I only just picked up my XT300i this week John so far too early to comment on the Kenda tyres' grip vs longevity trade-off, but as the miles rack up - in all weathers - I'll keep you posted.
