Bearing fits
« on: September 24, 2019, 09:31:45 PM »
I cannot seem to find anything on the bearing dimensions we need and which type is best for the drive shaft that I recently mutilated. I think it is 6201rs, does anyone know? Could someone explain what the variations mean as far as function? I get what the numbers and letters stand for. Thanks everyone.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yes, it is. Thank you for taking the time to find that, I really appreciate that. I guess a better way to ask is, "Should it be double sealed? single sealed? does it matter? is one way better? Do the oil seals always match the bearing dimensions?" That kind of knowledge I don't have.

Take the bearing to your local bearing distributor (most any decent-size town has lots of bearing suppliers) and they can match it in a minute.
