cooking a LIKE200iLX
« on: September 27, 2019, 01:43:48 PM »
Glad to finally get the last of the corrosion protection ACF-50 cooked off my exhaust!
At stop lights it looked to my fellow travelers like I had a small fire in my brake pads or something - and the smell was of baked mice.
Best to just stare off into the distance - and hope this isn't a long light - as you sit on your smoldering scooter.

(I did once try to set fire to my LIKE a few years ago. Left a couple paper towels below my valve cover after a valve lash procedure. The towels caught any oil dropping when I removed the valve cover. A few miles into my next ride I stopped to admire the view, and smelt an oily magazine smoldering, somewhere😊)

All dried...

fumes aren't visible here....

A little afraid to ask, but how do you what what baked mice smell like?
2014 BV 350  "IndiGO" (fast, strong and tireless)
2006 Honda Rebel 250  "Snow Leopard" (stealthy, agile and durable)
2018 Lance Cali Classic 200i  "Black Panther" (smooth, nimble, quiet and quick)
2016 Wolf V-50 (sold)

Wanted a Kymco, ended up w a Lance, but that forum is inactive, so I am here

I can answer that. Have you been to DisneyLand during the fire season?
2018 Kymco Like 200i (matte black)

Obviously you've never spent 9 days without C-Rats on patrol in sunny SE Asia.

Isn't yours a 2012? How long does it take? 😊  This is probably half the reason I'm wearing a mask.

Made in 2012, sold as a 2013.
Smell is gone  after one or two rides.
I put it on every year.
