ermmmm beleive it or not i was thinking about this today,i recon its only the bore capacity that changes, but the physical fit should be the same as i explained in other post my bike was a write off when bought so i spent quite a few days/weeks scouting around breakers yards and as expected seen a lot of a50s and a125s by looks alone i swear there is no difference only the obvious bore capacity and carb probably, will be watchin this one very close.NICE POST CON SERIOUSLY NICE POST!!! :)

Sorry to jump all over your thread con,but can anyone confirm that the a125 engine will drop straight into the a50 chassis im pretty sure it would from what i seen in breakers yards, and on that note wtf is a a125 top speed before mods,ie standard out the factory?????? ::)

thanks here in md we have to tag anything above 50cc but if i had a scoot with a 50cc vin and a 150 motor they can't say sh**

i figure i can only mod a 50 so much to get what i want

remember theres no replacement for displacment!!

well im not sure but i would think so

i do know there is a longshaft motor and a shortshaft

how the hell do you find out if your motor long or short shaft!,do you have the measurements for this?.cos i recon i could have a beast in the making here.Obviously ill have to move on to the a125 section in the none to distant future, :)

I think this has been discussed before. Check your belt length and that of the 125.

I think if anyone has done it, they would know over at scooter invasion, they are into heavy tuning.

..the problem i see, potentially, would be that the 125 engine/gearbox...all one piece..looks longer than the 50...

..there are dual shocks on the 125..

..look at the service manuals of both scoots..

..there are links to them in the general board...

..check the "overall scoot length" spec for both..

..if the 125 is longer, then there might be a problem in a swap-out...
