..sorry to hear you dropped th scoot tho...

..itsa bad feeling to see'r laying there, helpless on her side....

..dang.....

I had just finished working on it, I had the big Givi box on the back, and I revved it up. But I forgot to lean forward or hold onto the brake, the back wheel hit the ground (VERY easy to happen on this bike due to the weight and balance, would not happen on the SYM, you would have to stand on the box to get the rear wheel onto the ground when it is on the stand), so of course it jumped off the stand and in my panic I gave it more throttle - and there she was, laying on the ground. Sucks.
If I'm gonna do this kind of stuff, I might as well try wheelies!

Well anyway, maybe Art will look at his next time he pulls the body and we can find out where the hoses connect and what they do.

Ha! I was scratching my head too. I eliminated all the smog. Took out the carbin canister and all attached(you can get to the spark plug now  ;D ) You do need to cap the inlet on the intake. It was a vent that seemed to have no perpose.  Like the rest of the emissions. Not a clue what it does  ???
The other hose coming out the head ran back to the airbox and t'd into the the vac lines, just a rebreather so by passed that also. Not sure what to do with the large end yet.(just caped it) It does have a positive flow And can spit some fire out of it if the motor misses  :o  but also seems to have no use except to vent unburnt fuel back to the airbox to re-cycle. Not sure if i should vant it with a check valve or eliminate it with a solid gasket at the mount.
At this point all runs good,no ill affects but no real gains in power either.
Sorry to hear about the bike,That sucks

I capped it at the fuel intake(short hose and a screw)and removed all.  The line in question is designed this way but can't make any resonable guess as to what it does.

I think it was tied to the carbin canister some how. Been awhile since i removed it. Maybe its an air freshener  :D

Plugging it makes the idle change a little bit. Not sure if it is for better or worse.

Meanwhile I put BRIGHT LED's into the position lights. Compensates for when the idle turns the headlights down. I can still REALLY be seen at night. And they do throw some light onto the road as well.

Cool!   I did have to reset my air idle screw after modding it. I think a 1/2 turn in

An unplugged vacuum hose will alter your air fuel mix as well as sucking unfiltered air into your engine. For me, I would find where it goes or plug it.

Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.
