CDI Help! 2008 Mongoose 70 Sport S

I am having an extremely difficult time finding the CDI module for this model. I don't have the old one as we purchased used, and I have no idea what it looks like. Anyone out there that can help me find something that will fit this?

Yes, it is 30400-LEK5-900. I am looking to find something else that might work at this point because it will be at least a month ordering from Kymco directly they said.

Kymco has the part you mention, in stock. Any dealer can get it for you. Depending on where you live, the closer you are to S.Carolina the quicker you will get it.

CDI modules for any 4-stroke 50cc Kymco are all the same, they're basic GY6 DC units.  Any DC unit from any Chinese scooter on eBay will work.  They have personalities (e.g rev limiters, timing, etc), but they still do the job. Buy several different ones, they're cheap enough, usually sold with coil and plug lead for less than $20.

To my experience all DC CDI’s are not the same - even when the CDI sizes are the same.
In my Agility's case the original CDI had a gap of about 4mm between the plug and the CDI body. CDI’s without that gap simply does not work on my scooter - even when the rest of the CDI’s are the same as the originals. This has been confirmed by a local dealer - a CDI without that gap between the plug and body will not work on my scooter.
