Scooter throttle issue
« on: September 19, 2010, 04:46:04 PM »
New to the forum.

I have a 08 agility 50 scooter with about 3k on it. Right now will start right away, however whenever the throttle is touched the scooter shuts off immediately. My firend and I looked at the the carburatoe and it looks perfrect. My firend actually joke the the throttle was a great 'kill' switch

My daughter did dump the scooter once on the throttle side.

Any help would be appreciated

did you actually pull the carb apart and clean it out jets and all

mine did that when i first got it you could start it up but as soon as you gave it gas it stalled

check your fuel filter two it could be clogged and only letting some gas go threw

good luck keep us posted

Another thought, since it was dropped on the throttle side, you might want to check the kill switch wires.

I have a ZX50, some scooters have a kill switch. That reference was for romic, with regards to his problem.

Anything sold in the U.S. or Canada will have a kill switch - required by regulation.  The agility has the kill switch installed very close to the throttle (right side of the handlebar).  So if the scoot is equipped with a kill switch, checking the wiring is an important first step since the scoot was dropped on that side.

mmm-- got me on this one unplug your choke to see if it start and run with out it. It could be
your choke is staying open and flooding it out. you may have to kick start it. or ya change your gas
filter
