I received this scooter via a storage auction, so I know nothing other than it was laid over at some point (slow speed) causing cosmetic damage and right brake handle to be bent. The GV will turn over, It has fuel, spark, air, and compression. I can even tinker with the throttle and get it to gurgle and sputter, with a little smoke from exhaust, as long as I am steadily holding the starter button turning the engine over. I have read a lot of post on here but no luck, the reason for the new one.
Things I have done in no particular order:
Cleaned carburetor/jets and replaced seals.
New in line fuel filter
Removed drained and cleaned gas tank then re installed.
Drained oil and added new to manufacturer's standard
Adjusted Pilot screw to original factory standard of 2 turns (+/- 1/2 turn)
New Spark Plug, Coil and CDI. Tested for spark, and it is sparking just fine after replacing these parts.
Tried both original and bypass kickstand switch.
Confirmed kill switch is working properly with a multimeter.\
Bypassed seat latch switch. Don't know if this matters?
Jumped battery to my jeep to confirm there is enough power.
Took off fairings and inspected wiring or vacuum lines for damage, didn't find any.
Downloaded service manual.
Probably more but im beat and can't think of everything i did.
Im at a lost where to go next, any advice or experiences would be awesome!
