DOWNTOWN 300I DIED ON ME

HI GUYS MY KYMCO 300I I WAS RIDING ON FREEWAY AND NOTIVED BATTERY LIGHT HAD COME ON , I TURNED MY LIGHTS OFF THINKING IT MIGHT HELP THE LIGHT DID GO AWAY BUT FURTHER DOWN I WAS ALMOST HOME THE BIKE JUST DIED ON ME NO LIGHTS ON DASH NOTHING AT ALL COMPLETELY DEAD . ANY IDEAS IM VERY ANGREE ABOUT THIS

Get a battery charger and see if the battery will charge.  If it charges then see if it will run.  If it does then you probably have a bad alternator.  If the battery won't charge it's probably a bad battery.

Battery is not charging. Here is a fix I wrote a while ago: http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=24424.0

It is a common issue and Kymco has changed the charging system on the 350i to correct this.

Mouse, that was and is a great post. Technically correct and easy to follow! Is your ebay reg/rect still working? What is it, how much and didja change it without taking the rear bodywork off?

You only need to remove the seat bucket then unscrew 2 nuts to release the regulator.
The reg cost less than 30 USD and worked to 80,000km until my DT300 was an economical write-off.
