Seat Mods
« on: November 25, 2019, 04:00:36 AM »
Hello,

Has anyone here attempted to mod the seat? I normally take the backrest off, but the plastic under is dome shaped. Im a long legged guy so id rather have the option to sit farther back. Im thinking of just cutting the dome out and patching it in. Thoughts?

Google (daylong cycle saddles). Not cheap but made to your specs. Have owned 3, never will use anything else.

I took off the backrest and strapped a firm foam pad under an ATV seat protector (both available at Walmart).  This is now probably the most comfortable bike or scooter I've owned.  I'm also fairly tall and raising the seat helped.  I also keep the windshield in the lower position for better air flow and less buffeting.  The windshield was yellow from age (it looked like a big toenail), so I painted the inside of it black.  At the time I had it taken apart for a belt change.  Last week I changed the rear tire.  I'm really enjoying this scooter.
