Update:

I am listing it for $2,600 on boston.craigslist.org.  The bike now has about 650 miles on it.

In my country, almost new thing like this costs -23 % (VAT - reference is price if the vehicle is company-owned, and companies can deduct the VAT) and usually at least -15 % discount on top of that.

The discount goes because new owner has to pay 5 % ownership transfer tax and has some associated cost for ownership transfer (new documents - around 150 US$ for scoot like this).

So, unfortunately, it would be around 35-40 % less than the cost of new, even if it was one day old, and will stay that way for the next year or two!

I would actually prefer buying vehicle with 500 kms rather than the new one - the inspection is probably done, if there was some little glitch, it is already fixed etc.

Good luck.

Thanks for your responses.  I was able to sell it a couple of weeks ago for $2500.  I think that is a very good deal for a virtually new Grandvista.

Happy safe riding!  Yes, dress up and you can still ride! :D

It's around 30s here too.  As long as there is no snow, sand, or gusty winds, I can still bundle up and ride.  Not always, but most of the time since it's how I commute to work.

Speaking of wind...my trash can blew down the street yesterday. I didn't go get it until today, though.

Brrrr...that's a mighty cold ride you got there in the mornings, I'm sure!

I still have a Kymco People S 50cc Scooter, a 2009 Ninja ER-6N, and a Ducati Multistrada.  Now... I am debating what to do with these three.  I love them all, but can't keep all three since I really don't have the time to ride all three.

I will likely sell the Kymco People.  The Ninja ER-6N is perfect for commuting into the city for work.  The Ducati is just a really smooth ride.  90% of my riding is for commuting on the Ninja.  The other 10% is for longer distance rides on the Multistrada.  I have not been on the Kymco People for over a season... : \

Yes, it gets cold in the mornings and evenings.  For BlackFriday, I purchased some thermals and quick-wick type of wear under my main jacket and pants.  They should keep me warm enough.

I also purchased an UltraHD Flip camcorder.  I want to try recording some of my rides.  I'm not sure how clear the microphone will be.  If it works well and if vlogging my rides turn out to be fun, it'll be a new hobby.

That's great. I think you needed them thermals and all! Well, post us up a video when you get the chance. Would love to see it.
