hi just purchased a 125 cc kymco agility its 2015 model with about 9000 miles on the clock just a few basic questions I would hope you can help me with
what are the tyre pressures for front and back wheels I don't carry passengers and weight about 90kg
oil suggested is 15w -40 can I use 10w-40 I have always used this on my bikes and never had a problem and whats the frequency for an oil change I usually change ever 1000 miles?
is it worth replacing the spark plug with iridium plug and does anyone know what's compatible with the champion plug listed in manual
I have had a sym fiddle 125cc since 2008 and decided to replace with kymco I really love this agility its a big improvement any help i would really appreciate i am Uk based

Free download the owner's manual from Kymco, read it front to back. All the questions you asked will be answered. Plus a bunch!
My first Kymco was the agility 50. I thought thet thing was the "cat's meow!" The 125 should have the power the 50 desparately needed!

hi I have now got the manual tks the tyre pressures are shown in kg-cm2 not in bars pressure,so any help with that would be great the 15w 40 oil I really wanted to know what people think best and the have used in real life tks for the help

kg/cm2 to bar calculator (or chart) is not available on the internet? The owner's manual has a graphic that shows what weights of oil are suitable for the ambient temperature.

This is why I said to read it front to back. The less you do for yourself the less any forum member will try to help you. There are glaring mistakes in both the owner's and service manuals. We can help you with those when you ask the question.

There is most likely a sticker on the side of the bucket under the seat with a lot of tire and engine info.

I can’t remember what the manual says about tyre pressure but I run the wheel in front at 1.5  Bar, and 1.8 Bar at the back. The Agilitys are light in weight and I am 88 kg - therefore I prefer not to run tire pressure too high.

Oil get changed every 2000 km with 10 W 40 full synthetic. I use full synthetic because synthetic oil only start breaking down at a much higher temperature.
I like iridium plugs but the correct iridium plugs are not available locally. The current standard plug on my Agility already covered more than 12 000 km and the scoot still starts instantly. Probably not worth spending more money on an iridium plug.

 I thought Sym quality would be similar to Kymco quality ? What was your mileage on the Sym ?

hi tks for the answers I very much appreciate it my sym is a fiddle 2 it's 2008 only 12k kilometers I was the second owner, the sym are great quality but it was a small wheel and roads in the uk  are not great on a small wheeled scooter I have only had to replace the exhaust a few years ago and it's due a new exhaust soon the aftermarket ones are poor quality its great mechanically my local bike garage recommend kymco and sym as a cheaper alternative to honda so I now have 2 the sym will be sold all in all sym scooters are very well made but it was time for a change and tks for all the information

My Agility actually has small 12” wheels - I guess similar to the wheels on your Sym. Your Agility seem to have bigger wheels, so maybe you should ignore my comments regarding tyre pressure on my Agility. I have no idea how the bigger wheels on your Agility will behave with that pressure.

Our local roads are also not in good condition. Potholes are quite common, and repairs on the roads are not done properly. After repairs the road surfaces often have higher or lower areas , which means I often have to focus on holding the handle bars firmly to ensure a safe ride. I tried different tyre pressures with no improvement in handling behavior. The smaller wheels are simply not suitable for road conditions like this. My next scoot will definitely have bigger wheels.

hi yes the bigger wheel makes a big difference only had my kymco a few weeks but it feels safer than my sym fiddle i donr have to grip on as much and the bumps iron out a lot, I found tyre preesures and I am just ordering some gear oil so on monday I will changr oil then gear oil and have a look at brake oil i have dot 4 ready for that,it was just serviced according to the man i got it from but for my own peace of mind I will change all the fluids and make a note of the mileage, I have used the sym just for local runs and overall its been great,quality is good engine is excellant I upgraded the battery as I put hot grips on it, but I really like the kymco it feels a lot smooter I also looked at a bigger wheel second-hand sym but the prices were hight I picked up the kymco for £645 2015 model low mileage had new tyres and he delivered so its a bargain  and 12months mot and i hope to get a good few years out of it,i always get them serviced with my yearly mot and keep it garanged

I'm on my third Kymco and they all have an automatic indicator when an oil change is due, usually 2000km.  The oil indicator lamp on the speedo stays illuminated, reminding self to change the oil.  I only use cheap 10W-40 oil, one litre.  There's a key slot (see Owner Manual) for the switch that turns off the oil change reminder.

No oil change light on my Kymco.
I look at the owner's manual for frequency. .... (and usually cut that in half😊) and, since it requires so little oil, I use the best I can find.
But, it's your engine....

Yep no oil change light on mine either but ill do all fluids saturday so then i can keep a log of the mileage on changeover

I suggest 20 front/30 in back. Change the OEM tires to Michelin City Grips asap.

I change every 2k km and use SHELL ROTELLA® T6 synthetic.
