2018 450i UXV oil filter oil

Anybody know if Mobil 1 make a filter for this ? i would like a high quality filter.   And what oil are you using ?   I was thinking of tring Rotella T6. Thanks

K&N is the only one I know of as the filter has a very fine thread. I just get original oil filters off ebay, like 3 for 15 bucks shipped. Remember there is also a particle screen at the drain point so your sort of getting double filtration.  I have used T6 for years with excellent results as have many others. Watch for sales, in my area I can find it for 20 a gallon on sale. I also use it in my other toys and have Kymcos approval for use in there UTV.

I have looked at a couple that are supposed to fit and not been happy with how the thread looks.  Had this issue with my cub cadet lawn mower a couple years back.  They were out of cub cadet filters so I got a delco, after about 25 hrs the oil filter blew off the mower and pumped the engine dry in seconds, tieing up the engine.  Cub says no warranty due to delco filter!  Delco said they dont make a filter to fit even though there cross reference manaul shows it.  Easy out I know....   The threads were slightly different allowing the filter to vibrate loose.  Of course it is a rear engine so the driver couldnt seeanything happening until it was to late.  For that reason I use factory filters only.

Same for Kohler engines, too! 3/4-16 threads but .020" smaller OD.

Yes, the engine in my cub cadet was a Kohler so they said Kohler or cub cadet replacement filter only!!

You can get the OEM filter on Amazon for about $8. This is the exact filter that came on my 2018 450, and I have changed the oil twice since getting the machine. Filter fits perfectly, and you can't beat the price.

As for oil, I am with the other guys. I use Shell Rotella T6. It's an affordable full synthetic that has the required JASO certifications for motorcyle/ATV engines. Considering the affordable cost and proven performance, why mess around with anything else?

Look at ebay, they are getting more and more for Kymco models.  I bought a pkg of 3 factory oil filters for 18 bucks and that included shipping.  They have all the same markings as the original filter.  Dont know anyone that has ever had a complaint on the rotella T6 oil.

I really like the K&N filter, Rotella T6, and Valvoline synthetic gear oil.

Also consider Walmart full syn diff lube as it is made by Valvoline.  I have used the 75-140 full syn for many years with no issues. Being a full synthetic lube it can be used where 80-90 wt is called for.  Again approved by Kymco themselves.

I have had much better luck with Ebay for Kymco parts, better service also.  Amazon is good for odd products where Ebay is better for specific mfgr products.

I provided the Amazon link to the Kymco OEM oil filter in my earlier post above. It's the Hiflo Filtro HF138. You can buy it lots of places online. You'll find them on ebay or the online merchant of your choice.

Thanks for reply pa. I just found my receipt from Kymco dealer for last oil change they did. It
Says HiFlo 148 was installed. Now I’m really confused this post suggest # 137 and 138. My dealer used #148. What to do what to do? Lol
