Yeah, I was more that a little upset.

my next step is to buy the more expensive, very non-stick tape.

its 6-7 dollars MORE than what I paid for the tape I used.

gonna mask up the fender and hit it with the white.

..it's good to sand, then prime before painting..

..the sanding creates a roughness that the primer can grab hold of...

..primer is a MUST before painting anything that you want a lasting paint-job on...

no...
no primer...
it looks like sh** on the rear fender due to the peeling of the intitial white coat.
will do it next time... yup, next time.

put it back together and I'm not sure about the blue, though I really like the accent stripe.

I really like the look of the purple "Antisocial" sticker I have on the rear panel.

hmmm....

purple....

..i generally even sand down the first coat of primer after its cured a day or two... with the smoothest paper i can get..even scotch-brite...wash it all down...let it dry, clean, and then spray another coat of primer..let it cure...sand...wash, dry clean..paint with color..cure...sand..wash, dry, clean...then paint again...

Word, you're right.

thats the way to go for a proper job.

I'm just painting some of the matt black panels, not the original red ones.

I'll probably leave it for when a cold front blows through 'cause I won't be riding.

I'm a fair weather rider and in San Antonio, I can be.
