2016 arctic cat 500 help
« on: March 26, 2020, 01:39:44 PM »
So I am told my 2016 arctic cat hdx 500 has a kymco motor (443cc). I am having a hard time getting parts. Looking for a clutch kit or a stock clutch kit. I talked to epi. Speedworx, Babbitt, country cat to no avail. Contacted kymco and they have no way of looking up parts for that model even though it is their motor! Any help would be great!

So, here is the diagram for the 2016~UXV450i Kymco Side x Side CVT
Its possible that AC requested Kymco to build the engine and powertrain to a different spec, not sure.
They don't sell as a "Kit", just individual pieces. I can get the parts but it would be your risk if they were correct or not
Also, here's the # for an AC dealer I do business with,R&M Enterprises - 925-798-4360. Talk to Rick. AC chose to not renew many of there dealer agreements, at least here in CA, so Rick may not be able to order parts any longer (Tell him Chris from Sweco sent you). AC / Tracker, is putting all there marbles in with Bass Pro Stores so one of those stores may be able to help (Good luck with that, they will likely try to sell you a boat!).

You can go to Kymco USA,website and there is a microfich for the 450i which should be your Artic Cat.  You will scroll thru numerious sub assemblies and each when enlarged will give you the the factory part numbers.  Use the numbers to order thru any Kymco dealer willing to order for you.  No one can garentee the fit but I dont see why they wouldnt,  only superficial changes were made when AC started using Kymco machines.  Same for Tracker, I went to local Bass Pro to view there machines.  Found there 500 to be identical to my 450i under the plastics and cosmetics.  AC uses a different instrument cluster and decals and decorations but deep inside you can see the Kymco 450i.

That option not longer exists

I just looked up your model on https://www.countrycat.com/arctic-cat-parts but it doesn't come up.  Are you sure that's the correct model?

Just went to the Kymco website and the microfich is still there, you cant order directly but the various views show the parts and there dactory part numbers which a dealer needs to order the parts.

I do not see a microfich on the Kymcousa.com website.  Is there another site to go to?

The site is not real user friendly, especially for an old computor dummy like me. Look for "offroad"  then look for the 450i section then look for parts diagrams.  Printing is small and hard to see with the background colors.  Let me know what you find
