Not bad, in light of world events - just embarrassing
« on: April 25, 2020, 07:38:32 PM »
First I get a "l o o k" from the village policemen*...…..
In the midst of taking this snap...when my radar picked up a vehicle fully stopped in the street just to my right.
While staying bent over my camera, I turn my head to see the two officers staring at me.....
I smiled ….and was glad I wasn't standing dead in the middle of the street this time, with my camera and tripod.

After a rather pregnant pause - they rolled on down to the stop sign...…

Then, when my wife and daughter joined me in town - I went into Dinos to carry out 3 coffees and 2 apple turnovers.
….and spilled coffee all over his serving counter top.
He was gracious enough - but told the folks waiting at the door behind me that "it's going to be a while!" ….while he mopped up my mess. (the coffee only went under all 7 things he had on the counter....and my $20 bill laying there**)

I had my helmet off - but my mask on, and asked him if he knew who I was, "Sure, you're Tom."
"Sh_t!" I said***.

* the local Police are used to seeing me screwing around with cameras and scooters in their burg - for years - almost always before most sane people are awake.

** I fished out a dry twenty from my wallet.

*** I related why I was in there so long - and received a daughter lecture > "Dad, language!"

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
