Not much traffic these days, so stopped for a couple of snaps.
LED's cycle through different colors.

Remembering your fallen comrades whilst there?  Always a sobering time, but I'm sure the ride home lifted your spirits again!

Yeah, I cross that bridge weekly on my scooters - but this was the first time I stopped for photos.
The night before, read an article about one of the 2 C.O.'s who were awarded the MOH in Vietnam - a local fellow.
(the new movie about a para-rescue airman's much delayed award of the MOH - also involves a local man).

Friday a grandson emailed me with a series of questions he has to complete for a history class: "interview a Vietnam veteran".
He'd recently watched "Hacksaw Ridge"......so when I started by explaining that I was a CO/Medic he asked if the men waited for me to pray every day - before going on a patrol?
"Every day", I said.
(at least one of us was making the sign of the cross)

Funny how likely one is to turn to an omnipotent being at such times.  To quote Voltaire, "If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him".

Question #8 in his interview questionnaire was, "Did he/she survive?"
….which would explain why answers #1 through #7 were "N/A" - on some of the assignments emailed back to the teacher :)
