 ,
But...I'm in no rush to give anyone any business anytime soon. lol. We'll get it sorted out, though. I don't mind posting the stupid newbie questions. That's how I learn. And then I get to look back and laugh at myself. The cost of time & patience is more affordable for me than a repair bill right now. :)

[/quote]thats good .thats right thats how we learn I also have learned a lot from this fourm clade to be here. so I gues we well all learn together.

Your pictires look totally normal if you ask me.
Its grease and put there on purpose.
When you turn right and left the cables move a little and the grease on the cables is there so that the cables dont get worn so much.
And there is also grease in the ball bearing. Some might have come out when they out the bike together.

Grease is good.

Well, it's no big deal if it does happen - you'll just need an old priest and a young priest...

But the good news is that I hear they cost a lot less than a lawyer or kymco service rep.

Oh, NO! TWO Priests? AND I gotta pay for them???  :D

Still trying to send the rain your way, oswaldters. My little wooden plank ramp is probably gonna sink in all this mud when the rain finally stops. I'll never make it up over that foot high wall and out to the road to test things out. lol. But, hey, don't send the priests yet!!

...Grease is good.
 :) Thank you, scootergrisen!  :)

I'm dying to give them a good test - but since I've been riding in the rain I'm being cautious.

According to the service tech I'm supposed to take it reasonably easy on them for a while until the tires 'break in'.

The waiting is the hardest part...

I know - Can't I scuff up the tires with some sandpaper or something?

I guess I'll just wait for the rain to stop and go for a long drive.

Yeah - no kidding?

I guess I'll just be patient and do it the traditional way.

Given the speed I run probably not long.

Not like I'll be taking sharp corners at 45 mph or something.

The wisdom seems to be take it easy for the first 100 miles or so - no hard braking or acceleration.

No problem with the acceleration thing, but I doubt other drivers are going to stop cutting me off for another 90 miles until I have them broken in....
