Sold a Liberty150i to fellow Ohioan
« on: May 22, 2020, 01:12:19 AM »
A Vespa owner has been communicating with me about my Liberty.
He is not enjoying the small wheels of his Vespa...
evidenced by riding barely a 1000 miles in a couple of years. There aren't many 150, stepthru big wheel scooters offered in the USA.
He asked for my review of the Liberty after nearly 3 yrs of ownership.
Today he had a nice gloss white Liberty150i delivered 70 miles from the dealer in Cincinnati.
Wish Kymco (or Honda) sold a similar scoot here!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Shame you don't get the Vision 110 in the US. 16 or 17 inch wheels and absolutely ubiquitous here.
Rides;

Suzuki GW250 Inazuma (2016)
Honda C70C (red, 1983)

Hold a bit....I gotta look that up.
Ubiquitous....ah, "found everywhere"
So, not a Central American bike afterall.

Not sure a 110 could haul my 265 around with any alacrity....😊
(both my other scoots DO run me around with "brisk snd cheerful readiness"!)

Good for you, for being the Piaggio Ambassador!

I also had to do a search on the Honda Vision 110. It's fun looking at the Honda.co.UK website.

Interesting that the 110 is the smallest sccoot that Honda UK sells. Does that have to do with licensing requirements making the 50cc scoot unnecessary? (in most of the US a 14 year old can ride a 50cc scoot legally on the road)

Nah Hawk, you still need to be 16 in the UK to ride a 50cc. At 17 you can go up to 125cc.

Seems Honda haven’t sold the Vision 50 here in the UK since 2017

Despite this, the teen market is still well catered for here:
