It is hard to get motivated - but I like seeing people's faces when they see me riding through that kind of weather.  Who says scooter riders can't be tough!

But the whole fogging problem isn't fun.

Have to try not to breath at the red lights...

I ride with an open face helmet - so you get to do the steamy breath thing too - like they always show at those cold Chicago football games!

..rainX helps...down to about 30 degrees...

..it'll fog, but clears rather quickly..

..a guy told me about some stuff that they put on the inside of welder's helmets...

..keeps them from fogging up when they're welding outside in the cold...

..can't remember what it's called, but i bet that'd help!!..

..i gotta call him....

I use a balaclava when the temps get below about 25 degrees - and wear eye protection.  It's the eye protection that fogs up.

I also travel at somewhat slower speeds - usually 35ish due to the residential streets and such.

I do sometime think I should get a full face helmet...

I'd probably get by with a plain old large, but probably still wouldn't fit.

Kind of scares me to leave anything hanging out like that given how parts and the like disappear where I park.

I suppose I could just wear it on the subway - with all the safety issues they have it's probably a smart idea anyway.

I was thinking of just holding it in my lap and talking to it.  Sort of like Castaway - only I would call the helmet "Shoei".

That way I wouldn't have to worry about people sitting in the seat next to me.
