the only pieces I changed were the swing out pieces, with wear pads worn out, and clean and grease the rest

my service manual (People S200) says the service limit for clutch pad thickness is 2 mm. Anything less, replace. I would assume yours would be about the same. Have you measured the amount of pad material left on yours?

from your picture it appears your clutch pads are thin and in need of replacement. Add in that you have 45K km / 28K miles on it and I'd just go ahead and replace it.

See attached pic for what a newer clutch pad looks like (ignore the glazing on the pad, that was cleaned up).

My comment and over 400,000 miles (near 700,000km) experience with rubber band drive scooters.  If bike going well,  I would   leave it alone  and at 50,000 miles (95,000km) take it apart and look.   Most on this forum do not ride a lot, or have for that matter but like to take things apart and monkey.   I like riding.

I ride, take things apart+monkey, then ride faster and further. End result, all monkeying is for the sake of enhanced ride(and life knowledge/experience). As a scooter commuter I believe in EARLY preventative maintenance as that is what keeps me from a mechanical failure and 3 weeks of no job waiting on a boat from Taiwan.

I fully agree. “Monkeying” has save me a lot of time and money during my lifetime. I find it very interesting, challenging, and fulfilling to help other people whenever I can - and to “outsmart” people who often know nothing - and often keep on throwing a lot of hard earned money around to keep mobile.
Life is a journey. Just spend some time, and enjoy the trip.

John, I am guilty as charged! I sure wish I could ride more but life, work, family and home  duties limit my riding time. Add in that my first choice is riding my motorcycle (which I can't ride nearly as much as I'd like) it's hard to find the extra time for the scooter. (have averaged only 2K miles/yr on the bike and 200 per year on the scoot).

So I end up going out to the garage when I have time.. to look at my bikes, wipe them down with detail spray, stand back and admire them some more..ponder new mods or wonder what maintenance items I can take care of to keep them in top notch condition. If you add the total time spent dinking around with them in the garage it probably equals (or exceeds?) my riding time.

Add in the time I sit on my couch with a cup of coffee and laptop on my lap playing online and reading forums...and there goes the day!

There, right there.  A story almost as old as time!

You can't wish away a worn out clutch.
You might get some more miles out of your clutch...or it might start slipping badly.
Replace now, and get another 30,000 miles ,or replace in a few months.
It is up to you.

Yoni, you seem to be very resistant to the idea of replacing your clutch. If you don't replace it it will eventually wear to the point that it won't engage your driveline and your scoot probably won't move very well. Not sure but it will probably damage your clutch bell housing with metal to metal contact, resulting in the need to replace an additional part.

If you don't want to replace it..don't. Just keep riding until your scoot doesn't move well. Then replace at that point.

Most of us on the forum are very conscious of regular and preventative maintenance and tend to replace things that need replacing....but if you don't want to...don't! But be sure to let us know how many more km's you get out of your clutch.
