Roller weights?
« on: July 12, 2020, 06:11:09 PM »
I take it by increasing the roller weight the scooter will go to the higher gear with less rpm?  Thinking of replacing the belts on the 500's and might as well do the rollers at the same time.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

True, but it will be slower on takeoff.

And less buzzy at top speed.
Alternately..
Dr P's in my Burgman dropped engine speed by nearly 1,000rpm while pulling 80mph.
Big scoots have enough grunt to spare some at launch...

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Wow that's a big drop in RPM. Your correct got lots of torque for takeoff sounds like the way to go when I do the belt.  On my two 07's they only have about 6k and 5k miles I imagine the belt should be changed by age ? Sounds like it's going to be a busy winter. How long does the centrifugal clutch last in these big machines?
