lol...seriously, oswaldters, was thinking 'bout yer battery cover deal, when I thought that one up. Yeah, I thought about the mace too, but my luck, somebody, be walking their dog or something...better to have a bright green or red dog, lol

u could get ya one of them barking door mats and velcro it to the floorboard over the battery...
