Tried a Top Speed run on the rural highway on my LIKE200i on my way out for coffee this morning.
Forgot to check the tach - which saves max RPM's, afterwards.
So,
on the back roads coming home started to try it again.
I'm thinking "not too smart, this"....for one reason.
As I was winding up through the revs -
sure enough! A deer in the road where I've
never seen a deer in 8 yrs!
I rolled off the throttle and let him clear the road back into the corn and settled back to 33 mph.
Thank you, Lord!
Half hour later, in the city, a lousy Chrysler mini-van speeds up and passes to the right of the car next to me by swerving next to me in my curb lane!!
Fortunately the car next to me moved left, as I moved right - to let the idiot through. Thank goodness for my mirrors. I saw his maneuver coming at the last second - even if I had trouble believing it!
He then moved around in front of my neighbor and on into the left turn lane further down the street. This was in broad daylight, 4 lane blvd.
No way I was not visible in my yellow helmet and dayglo yellow jacket, on this overcast morning.
In 8 years of scooter riding - this makes 4 times people have passed me in my lane! Never was I going less than the posted speed limit. This one was the worst.
No way in h_ll will I ever ride in this city in mid-day.
