My new Super8 125cc
« on: October 06, 2010, 11:08:27 AM »
Hi all,

Im from a tiny place in the med called Malta. I had a Speedfight 100cc, but now im on the Kymco band-wagon with a Super8 125.

Here is a pic of my new P+J, the day i picked it up, still with the "sold" sign on it!
I also ride a Suzuki Bandit 1200, but the Kymco is a million times better to go to/from work!

Small question -- How come there is not a section for the Super 8 125 in the links on the forum, there is only for the 150cc version.

Cheers all!!

Congrats on the new scoot and welcome to the forum.

I'm pretty sure its because we don't get the super 8 in 125cc here in the states.

We get a 50 and a 150 version.
Im usually on a bicycle, so for me, this thing is hauling ass!

Thanks for the comments and the welcome. Planning a few tasteful cosmetic mods for it, nothing drastic. Will post more pics when i get it done :)

Can't wait to see what you do.  I'm planning a re-painting this winter.

No nothing drastic, am gonna put red rim stickers on the wheels, it will look as if it came like that, but black cars/bikes with a red lip on the wheels always looks awesome!

Then im not sure :) but i gonna keep it as stock as possible, for as long as possible!!! .. i already done 540Km in my first week, all that on an island that is only 35km wide! :)

Hey, welcome!.  That is a great looking scoot.  Black with red accents always looks good.  It's interesting to see the different plastics designs they do for other countries.  I'm sure we'd all love more pics of your scoot around your island. ;D

Nice scoot - enjoy.  I also happened across a Super 8 here in South Africa and wondered if we were the only ones to have them.  They had a very cool yellow/Blue/white/etc one on the showroom floor - looked a bit like Renault F1 colours.

Post pics of your travels - never seen Malta, so would be interested.

thanks for the comments all! im pretty impressed with it i must say. i ridden a lot of 125cc scoots from piaggio and honda, and this is definatley up there with them! in fact the honda blew up twice lol.

What should be the next mod.. I was thinking of a bigger screen for the weather protection? (see my other thread regarding why i might need this :P )

Cheers
